Dear list; I am trying to find the parents of Alexander Constantine Martin, who was born 15 Dec. 1833 in Cincinatti, Ohio. The father was born in Virginia and the mother was born in New Jersey. Recently, I found a Hannah Martin, 44, born in New Jersey living in Warren County, Washington Township, Ohio in the 1850 census. There was no husband. So, either the husband died prior to 1850 or they got a divorce. The census reads as follows: Isaac Smith 28 M Farmer born Ohio Rhoda Smith 22 F born Ohio Hannah Smith 5 F born Ohio Theodore Smith 2 M born Ohio Harriet E. Smith 4/12 F born Ohio Hannah Martin 44 F born New Jersey Constine Martin 16 M laborer born Ohio Charles Martin 13 M born Ohio _____(can't read) Martin 11 M born Ohio Mary Martin 9 F born Ohio By 1860, OUR A.C. Martin was already married and living in Madison County, Iowa. He died in Hesperia, Oceana County, Michigan. If anyone has any clues on the above mentioned people, PLEASE get back to me.
