List readers: Does anyone know this Kathryn Wolfe who made the offer to search and send pension files located at the National Archives? Some of you may remember her original message posted to this list in January 2005. I contacted her and sent her money to obtain a pension file. She emailed me on or about February 14 that she had found the file and would view and copy it that next Saturday and mail it to me. I have not heard from her since nor have I received the file or my money back. I have sent her repeated emails asking for a status or some kind of reply. I have not hear back from her. I am concerned that something may have happened to her. If anyone has been in contact with her would you let me know or the list know what is the situation. I would also suggest that anyone wanting to hire her to do a search wait until she replies to the list that she is okay and able to resume conducting research. I hope this message reaches Kathryn and that she will please contact me. The worse case scenario is one I do not want to mention or think about at this time.
