Hello all, Jacob Martin is listed in the Census of 1830 in Wilson Co., TN with 6 sons and 6 daughters. By 1850, Jacob and wife Mary Wallace are in Carroll Co., TN, but only one son, James and one daughter, Jane are in the household. Therefore, I do not know all the names of their children. In my 10 years of research, I have never met another person who is descended from or who is researching this Martin family. Those 6 sons, must have descendants named Martin. One son, William C. Martin, lived and died in Rutherford Co., TN and has descendants. His line has been DNA tested, but I would like to test other males from other sons. Money is available for the DNA test of any proven male descendant from any son, except William C. Martin. The son, John J. Martin, also, died in Rutherford Co., TN, but he had no sons. If anyone is related to, or knows of any Martin who is from this family, please, put me in contact with them. Their ancestors may have lived in Wilson or Carroll Co., TN. My ancestor, as far as I can figure out, is Ralph Martin who married Elizabeth C. Burton. Their daughter, Minerva "Minnie", was with them in 1860 in Wilson Co, TN. Ralph disappeared after that, and in 1870 Minerva "Minnie", was with an Edward Martin and his family in a different county, can't find that at this moment. Do you think Edward and Ralph were brothers, or?
