Hi Tricia, Sorry, but I don't see any connection with your Martin's. My Nathan was born in Kentucky in 1829 to William and Mariah Martin, William's father was John O'Friel Martin. Nathan moved to Illinois (Menard county and later Mason county), near his father's sister Eleanor, after the 1850 census. It is not known when or why Eleanor and her husband Ephriam Willcox (Wilcox) moved there, but all were born in Kentucky. I don't want to dismiss anything out of hand, but none of the names you gave fit into my family. I am constantly amazed how my Martin's on Dad's side and my Mayfield's on Mom's side crossed paths in their migration routes, but never knew each other until the both landed in side by side counties in Kansas. So anything is possible. I will keep you in mind and let you know if I come up with anything. -- Cora Martin [email protected] > From: [email protected] > Reply-To: [email protected] > Date: Sun, 24 Jul 2005 20:00:15 -0600 > To: [email protected] > Subject: MARTIN-D Digest V05 #68 > > From: "rbbtfarm" <[email protected]> > Date: Sat, 23 Jul 2005 15:39:40 -0700 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Cora M. - [MARTIN-L] Re: MARTINs IN>IL>MO > > Hi Cora, > > I am hunting for the birth family of William Ellis MARTIN: > b. 1 Feb. 1871; d. 12 June 1945 m. 18 Jan 1894 to > Margaret M.
