Russ, would you, please, give tell me the father of your George W. Martin? I have a William C. Martin b. 1825 in Wilson Co., TN who married Lockie Josephine Donnell who was b. 1835, TN. That is a very unusual name and it is quite a coincidence that you have one with the same name, only reversed. This William C. Martin is supposedly the son of Jacob Martin b. 1786, SC and his wife, Mary Wallace. Jacob had a brother, George W. Martin, also born in SC, but moved to Wilson Co., TN.
