Concerning Benjamin Martin: There is a Benjamin Oliver Hazard Perry Martin b. 3/30/1814 in Wilkes Co, NC, d. 6/10/1882, m. 10/29/1836 in Wilkes Co., NC to Betsey Martin (daughter of Isaac Martin b. 6/13/1789 in Wilkes Co., NC and Nancy Green b. 11/29/1799 in Ronda, Wilkes Co., NC). Next, there is a Benjamin Harrison Martin b. 1771 in Fluvanna Co. VA d. aft. 1844 in Wilkes Co., NC m. 1/13/1797 to Fanny Martin b. 11/03/1777 in Fluvanna Co., VA. Their son John M. Martin b. 3/04/1803 in Wilkes Co., NC d. Bef. 1870 and his wife Marth L. Parks b. 10/4/1812 in Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC had a son Benjamin F. Martin b. 12/1/1830 in Wilkes Co., NC. Next, there is a Benjamin Samuel Martin b. 9/12/1809 in Ronda, Wilkes Co., NC d. 1/15/1872. This Benjamin was the son of John Martin and Diana Harrison Martin (she died upon the birth of her 18th child) and was my great-uncle. Diana was the youngest child of Benjamin and Diana Harrison Martin, who came to Wilkes Co., NC in the winter of 1781-82 from VA. They were living in Fluvanna Co., Virginia in 1777. Finally, there is a Benjamin Harrison Martin b. 4/8/1746 in Chickahominy River, Albemarle Co., VA, d. 10/31,1821 in Ronda, Wilkes Co., NC, m. 8/21/1766 in Goochland Co. or Albemarle Co., VA. He married Diana Harrison b. 10/1/1744 in Pittsylvania Co., VA, d. 5/11 in Wilkes Co., NC. They produced the Diana Martin (aka Dianna Martin) b. 3/3/1788 in Ronda, Wilkes Co., NC d. 10/01/1838, Wilkes Co., NC who with John Martin (aka Jack Martin) b. 9/12/1786 in Ronda, Wilkes Co., NC (see the paragraph next above) produced my great-grandfather Thomas Rogers (aka Robert aka Rodgers) Martin.
