My great Grandfather William Bowden MARTIN married Catherine GRIBBLE in Kadina South Australia in 1863 he was aged 22 making him born c1841 on his death cert states born in Cornwall England son of Martin MARTIN and Eliza maiden name unknown. I don't know if the father Martin MARTIN ever went to Australia as well as I although William was born on Cornwall I don't know what age he was when he went to Australia. Catherine was born in Australia the daughter of Samuel GRIBBLE and Grace POLKINGHORNE grace died 10 months after Catherine's birth and Samuel married again to an Ann DEEBLE . It is the MARTINS I am interested in as I have the other side of the family back a long way. On William and Catherine's marriage certificate it gives the occupatoon as miner it appears they all were but then most of the citizens of Cornwall were I think Can anyone help with anything on Martin MARTIN and Eliza??
