Here are some 5 families in the 1860 Macon co. census John B. Martin, b 1832 33 born S. Carolina wife Susannah and 2 daughters Jas C. Martin, b ca 21 in Ga wife was Kate born ga. four children and 2 boarders with one of them a Physcian Thomas Martin b 1839-1840 was just married to Jane and had a handyman E.J. Fielder J.B. Martin b in Va ca 1807 had a wife Frances and 7 children J.B. was a brickmason Charles Martin 21 yrs old b. in Ga was an overseer and lived with the family of Benjamin Rush. Charles was not married In 1850 census for Macon co. William Martin b. ca 1807 in SC with wife Celia and 7 children This is not my research but tho it might help. I have several Martin families for Dale co census if you want them the oldest is a Benjamin Martin age 74 and Elizabeth age 61 Joel Martin would have been born in S.C. in 1805 and would have been closes to Rebecca`s age but I think his wife`s name was Ann E. 29 from Ga. I think they went to Texas about 1870 I have a paper some where in my mess that Joel Martin was a Indian and I also have a another one that dosen`t say that ,both from LDS Library Barbara
