Carol, Rhonda, et al, I would like to get on this IA/MO MARTIN bandwagon. My husband's MARTINS were in Schuyler Co. MO area and there seems to be a possible IA connection. My FIL was born there. His father started working in the shoe factories at age 12. One or all may have been the International Shoe Company. Confirmed, I have William Ellis MARTIN (b. 1871) m. 1894 Margaret M. AYERS (b. 1876). children: Edward, Eunice, Arthur Ray (Brownie *), Renis M.(?), Glen, Mary N., Lemella, Mable, and Hazel. I believe that Abraham (Abram/Abrem) and Louisa J., nee Speer (Speers/Spear) MARTIN were the parents of William Ellis. I have IA, IN, and a couple other states as birthplace for these two. Any of this fit to someone's ancestry ?
