I am also pursuing information on Edward Martin. My Edward was believed to be born in 1772 in Derby, VT. He married Elizabeth (Betsey) Chase and they settled in Ferrisburg, VT around 1794. They had a large family consisting of thirteen children of which I only know of four: Hannah; Edward, Jr; Lydia Ann, and Susan. Edward appears in the Ferrisburg census of 1810 but not 1820, Elizabeth appears in the 1820 census as the head of the household. Elizabeth died in Georgia, VT in 1860. She had apparently moved to Georgia to be with her son, Edward, Jr. I would appreciate any information on the elder Edward's parents and the rest of his children. Russ Hanson ([email protected])
