In the 1900 census for District 84, Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas, we find the household of Adolphus Brown (born Aug 1865), wife Mary (born June 1870, mother of 6 children, 4 still living), and sons James (born Jan 1887) and Jesse James (shown as born Nov 1883, but should probably be 1893, as he is listed as only 6). Also in Helena (District 85) is a Milton Martin, born May 1863, no one else in his household. He is roughly the right age to be Ruben's son (who was 14 in the 1880 census). You may also find this link helpful, although I don't know the source of its information: http://us.geocities.com/freebirdnc/00028.htm#001 Regards, Drew Smith On 2/4/07, clarkappliance@bellsouth.net <clarkappliance@bellsouth.net> wrote: > In the 1880 census of Phillips Co, Ar I find my Martin line.
