Reagrding William Harvey MARTIN b. 1785 and d. 1855. He was born in Logan Co., KY married 17 Dec 1805 in Logan County to Susan A. WHITAKER. and died 1855 in Moultrie Co., IL. They had 6 children. His father my John MARTIN was born 1758 in VA, married 1779 in North Carolina to Sarah Isabella SCOTT and died 1825 in Lawrence Co., IL. William H. was married (2) to Cynthia Clark in IL and had 7 children. My William was not alive to serve in the Civil War so could not be William Hawkins.
