Just a few more thoughts about John and Isabella. The statement I made earlier about John aquiring his land as part of his revolutionary service came from another researcher and I do not want to represent it as absolute fact. In fact I think there is very strong evidence that the land was aquired as part of the settlement of an estate of a relative or friend. The land was identified as being part of "the estate of Mary Lewis" and was broken up and sold to several people after her death, Including a Samuel La???, John G Lewis and another FW or RW Lewis I believe. A GB Starling and a William Starling with his mother. Now in light of the fact that John Martin had a son named LEWIS Martin. I wonder if Mary Lewis was a relative. Could some research of this Mary Lewis lead us somewhere? What do you think? Maggie
