Hi! My info about JAMES B. MARTIN is that he came from Halifax Co, VA >TN>.Barren Co, KY>Wayne Co, IL>Searcy Co, AR. He died in Searcy Co, AR is my understanding. According to DNA testing which my Father participated in for us to try to trace our MARTIN line.................my ABRAHAM appears NOT to be genetically related to JAMES B. MARTIN of Halifax Co, VA. That seems strange to me; as they were in the SAME PLACE at the SAME TIME................but genetics fon't lie! SO- either my ABRAHAM was adopted; or THOUGHT he was JAMES B. MARTIN's bio son; or perhaps just RAISED by them: I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drives me NUTS!!!! At ANY rate.........if you look at the census of Wayne & White COunties, IL from 1820-1850; you will find all of those names and more in the MARTIN clan. Wish I could be more helpfl; but I can't even find a connection for my 3x GGrandfather ABRAHAM MARTIN after 9 years of searching!!!!!!!! Check out Wayne & White COunties, IL for LOTS more info regarding MARTINS- there were ALOT of them in/near/around there; that's for sure!!!!!!
