He was born 8 Feb 1881 in Pike Co, IN and died 10 Feb 1959, Washington, Davis Co, IN. Parents of Martha Alice "Allie" were: Joseph R MARTIN who was born 11 Aug 1844 in Gibson Co, IN, died 9Apr 1902 in Hazelton, Gibson Co, IN and married Virginia Ellen "Jennie" KIRK on 1 May 1867 in Gibson Co, IN. She was born 10 Jul 1845 In Gibson Co, IN and died 9 Feb 1898 in Hazelton, Gibson Co, IN. Joseph died from acute alcohol poisoning....... Father of Joseph R. Martin was: Nimrod C MARTIN and I have little information on him other than he was born abt 1814 in Kentucky. He married Elizabeth MORLEY/MOSLEY on 25 Jan 1837 in Gibson Co, IN. She was born abt 1819 in IN. I have heard but no validation that his father was also a Nimrod MARTIN but so far have not found much information on him. Nimrod and Elizabeth had the following children: Mary D MARTIN b 1838 Gibson Co, IN Napoleon MARTIN b 1840, Gibson Co Lambert H MARTIN b abt 1842, Gibson Co and died 30 Mar 1864 at home, Gibson Co, IN Joseph R MARTIN b 22 Aug 1844 in GIbson Co, died 9 Apr 1902 in Hazelton, Gibson Co, In Margaret MARTIN b abt 1846 in Gibson Sarah J MARTIN b abt 1848 in Gibson Co and died 13 Dec 1908 in Gibson Co, IN Laura A MARTIN b abt 1850 Amelia MARTIN b abt 1854 Sylvester MARTIN b abt 1858 in Gibson Co,IN So far this is all I have to date on this family.
