I am looking for information regarding Edward Martin and his wife, Betsy Chase, who settled in Ferrisburgh, VT in 1794. They had thirteen children of which I can only account for four, namely: Hannah (1799, my gggm), Edward,Jr, 1806, Lydia Ann, 1811, and Susan, 1814. I would appreciate any information on the remaining siblings. Also, Edward is listed as head of household in the 1810 census of Ferrisburgh, but does not appear in the census of 1820. In the 1820 census, Betsy is listed as the head of household. Does anyone know what became of Edward? I would also be interested in knowing who Edward's parents were. Betsy died in 1860 in Georgia, VT at the home of her son, Edward, Jr. My gggrandmother, Hannah, married Stratton Martin, who descended from the Woodbury, CT Martin clan and I have extensive information on this family if anyone is interested.
