Hi Stella YES- there were SEVERAL MARTIN's in/near/around Wayne County, IL that I have, so far, NOT been able to "connect". Here are some of the names of those unconnected MARTIN's- maybe we could find something?? JOHNSON MARTIN NATHAN MARTIN (died near Wayne Co, IL) JOSEPH MARTIN (died in Wayne Co, IL in 1821) OBADIAH MARTIN JACOB MARTIN JOHN MARTIN JAMES B. MARTIN )I know he went to AR before 1840- probably Searcy Co, AR) RAWLEY MARTIN ROBERT MARTIN (married NANCY HEADY in mid-1820's in White Co, IL) My Dad's DNA test came back with a DNA match to Central AL MARTIN's- but I am unaware of ANY of my MARTIN clan who went to AL....so it MUST have been ABRAHAM's siblings/parents!!! I suspect ABRAHAM may have "struck out on his own" and went West; while his parents/siblings may have "gone South"- but no prrof!!!!!!!! I THOUGHT that JAMES B. MARTIN was most probably ABRAHAM's Father; but DNA did NOT support that theory...............SO..............either: A) he was adopted; or B) he was from a TOTALLY different MARTIN clan; or C) aliens "dropped him off" in IL.................; or D) he went "North"; while the rest went "South"; or E) he THOUGHT JAMES B.
