Oh, Gosh, big stuff has happened! A few days ago Peggy sent a message to the Martin List and I answered something insignificant and Lynn saw my email address and ask me for my Martin Line and I did reply with what little I know (I kept my reply on List- very important to keep our replies on List) and then it mushroomed until trublue referred me to Pat Eldredge who turns out to be my COUSIN. And Pat knows a lot about the Martins. Is that great or what? Hi Folks, Lots of traffic on the Martin List lately, and success stories. I will try my annual appeal for help in locating any info on my Martin. She is Elizabeth Martin, who married my great grandfather, Asa Chaddick/Chadick, Jr., on 14 Apr 1846 in Union County, AR. That is where they got the marriage license, but I think they actually lived in Union Parish, LA, just across the state line, and the physically closest county seat was in AR. The 1850 Calcasieu Parish, LA census lists her birthplace as "LA", and her age as 20. Any help with her ancestors, siblings, etc. would be appreciated.
