    3. Thanks, Jon. I have done some of this but your suggestion is a good one and I will expand the search to the various places where they might have had contact. It is frustrating to not have census records after 1930. My assumption is that J. S. Martin died in California, but even that is merely an assumption without birthdate and place of birth information to help with the Social Security Death Index and California Death Index. Many thanks to the several who have already responded to my posting on this List.
