    3. The birthdate for John Martin, son of Moses and Ann, is given as 17 May 1784, per pension/family bible. John Martin, husband of Rachel, served 2 months 21 days as a private in Capt Samuel Tate's Company, attached to the 7th Regiment of Kentucky Mounted Volunteers, Commanded by Colonel Micah Taul and was discharged December 31, 1813 at Somerset, Kentucky. Applied December 28, 1850 for the bounty land. He resided at Somerset and was 66 years old. He was allowed 40 acres. This would make his year of birth 1784. Sorry, I don't have the land warrent numbers available. 3. Hi! I am descended from his sister, Mary, daughter of Moses and Ann Heath Martin. Mary married John Barnett, 24 January 1825, in Pulaski Co., KY. Are we related? On March 31, 1855 John applied for 120 additional acres. Do you know if John ever received the additional land he then applied for?
