I'm hoping someone can help me. When Grandma Martin died in May it was decided that since the remaining 4 generations were so spread apart that they would start holding annual Reunions. Since I am the only one whose a Genealogist it was decided that I would find out as much as I could on the Line before the first reunion in June 2002. The problem is I just recently married into the Martin line and the eldest lines don't know much about the family pass their Father <groan>. However I have been able to piece something's together about their grandfather, here's what I have to work with; Thomas Clingman MARTIN b. abt 1886 d. abt 1945 m.? Effie Ella Myrtle Mae JARVIS b.?? d. abt 1926 One Child Aubrey Revere MARTIN Sr. b. May 6, 1917 d. April 16, 1984 Thomas and Effie are buried in Hollywood Cem, Elkin Surry Co., NC The records there don't have any dates on them and the head stones can't be found. I live in Florida, so I'm unable to look myself. Thomas had a brother Dolphus N. Martin whom I found on the 1910 Census living in Elkin, Surry Co., NC there was another brother named Clint and possibly a sister Ella. I've searched Elkin Census and am unable to locate Thomas who from my understand went by Cling. Any help would be great appreciated. Lisa R.
