Martin is such a common name that it takes forever it seems to make a connection. I have a William Martin..........whose middle initial was either H. or R. He was born around 1849 in AR and married Amanda Osborn in 1870 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., AR. I have lots of info on his wife's family but know nothing about him. They lived in Greenwood still at the time of the 1880 Census. In 1900 Amanda is living in Poteau, LeFlore Co., OK and is a widow. Their children are: William C. Martin b. 1872, Mary Parmelia Martin b. 1875, Mattie L. b. 1876, James, Harvey, and Minnie. In 1910 Amanda was living with her oldest son, William in Muskogee and William was working for the railroad. If you know anything about these Martins, please let me know. Kathy

Kathy, all of my Martins are in VA, WV and NC. Sorry I have nothing documented for those in Midwest or West. Martin is almost at hard to document as the name Jones.
