NC around 1795 and is believed to have been the daughter of James David Hennessee. James had a daughter Alcy about the same age from a different wife than the mother of Elizabeth. Elizabeth's mother was 1/2 Cherokee. By 1817 Elizabeth was married to Amos martin and living on a farm adjacent to James David Hennessee in Warren County TN. Amos and Eliz. moved to Effingham IL by 1820 and Amos dissapears form records by 1850. Elizabeth is on the 1860 census in Ft. Smith AK and doesn't appear on census after that. I would love to find some proof of Eliz. Cherokee linage other than the Newspaper clipping I have. Dave Martin
