Pam and Goodsonl959.....I have the following John Martin, born in Georgia in l820. He was also known as Jackson Martin and Jack Martin. He was in Alabama by about l840 and married Mary Elizabeth Sanford (Sanford not proven). We think John or Jackson Martin died in Alabama about l860. The widow, Mary Elizabeth was in Freestone Co Texas by l865 with the eight children. He left children named John Sanford Martin, Joseph Jackson Martin and others all born in the l840-l850 period. Does there appear to be any connection. John, Merced, Calif.
