My GGGreatGrandfather arrived in Charleston SC in 1794 from Ireland. In 1803 I find that he was naturalized in Chester District or County SC.James and Family migrated to Lincoln County Tn. around 1810, thence to St. Clair County Al. 1823 bought land in Jefferson County in 1824 along with sons William and Robert N. Martin between Trussville Al. and Argo Al. Does anyone have Martins that arrived in SC in 1794 that migrated to other parts of SC or into Georgia? Robert N. Martins son Christopher was last found in Itawamba County Ms in 1867 along with sisters Mary J. and Sarah. Sarah husband was Howard, Howard could be a given name or a surname.Mary Jane was not married. Have names of some more of the family if anyone can connect. About four or five Martin Families in a 15 mile radius of Trussville Al. and none claim to be related. Robert N.Martin was my GGreat Grandfather and his son Carr was my Great Grandfather.
