He's my brick wall on this branch of my family. I do know he was born in (either Bedford or Hamilton Co.) TN ca 1809, came to IL with his father as a lad of 12 and died in IL in 1878. According to a biography book (written ca 1893) of southern IL he was a brave soldier in the Black Indian War. He met and married a Nancy JACKSON ca 1841 in Hardin Co., IL. She had been previously married to a George DOCTORMAN. She was the daughter of George W. JACKSON. In most records I've found him listed as Isaac L. MARTIN. A couple years ago we obtained some land grant records from IL that spelled out his name as Isaac Lason MARTIN. This really excited me because my grandfather was Hubert Lasson RAGAN Sr. My father is Hubert Lasson Jr. Plus we gave the name Kenneth Lasson RAGAN to our son. And last year my oldest daughter named our second grandson Lasson Ray WILLIAMS. There were a couple other MARTINs in his area (Hardin Co., IL) ... a DP (Daniel Parker) MARTIN and an LD (Lorenzo Dow Or David) MARTIN. Both of these men were living very close to my Isaac L. about the same time frame (mid 1800s). I would sure like to connect these three men somehow. Can anyone help with this? PULEEEEZE... I have a Isaac Lewis (Louis) MARTIN b. in Illinois in 1853. Wonder if the Isaac Lason MARTIN could be his father. > In a message dated 6/25/2001 08:13:43 AM, ROOZOO8@aol.com writes: > >Do you happen to know the the names, birthdates, or deathdates of the parents > >or siblings of your Issac Martin?
