Hello I am new to the Martin list so I thought I should post my interests. I am researching my Martin Ancestors who lived in Wrockwardine Wood, Donnington Wood and Lilleshall, Shropshire, England I have with certainty been able to go back to my G.G.G. Grandparents who were William and Jemima Martin. They were born in approximately 1829 and 1830 respectively. They lived at 30 Barracks, Lilleshall and had three children that I know of James (b 1853); Elizabeth (b 1855) and William (b 1857). I suspect that William Martin Snr was the son of William and Rebecca Martin, although I have yet to prove this theory beyond reasonable doubt! James Martin was my G.G. Grandfather and he married Sarah Price on the 16th May 1880. Sarah was the daughter of Aaron and Sarah Price, who lived in Donnington Wood. James and Sarah had a son James Albert Martin (b 27th December 1880). James Albert fought in the Boer War and came back in 1902 and moved to Ipswich, where he married Ethel Clara Whitman. If anybody has any interest in the afore mentioned people, or can tell me anything about the history Wrockwardine Wood and Lilleshall I would love to hear from you. Many Thanks Heather Martin
