Hi to the List I am seeking information about James Martin whose name appears in the baptismal records of St Baithin's RC Church, St Johnston, County Donegal, Ireland on 1 March 1857 as the father of William and husband of his second wife Elizabeth (Burns?), Sponsor, Mary. James and his first wife (?) are said to have had two sons, both drowned at sea and a daughter Mary, whose husband is also said to have drowned at sea (this impelled us to teach all our children to swim). One son is said to be Captain John Bothun Martin of the SS London, sunk in the Bay of Biscay on 11 January 1866. Any Martins out there who can supply information about these Martins especially Captain Martin and any children Mary Martin might have had? Liam Martin "A bird in the bush is worth two in the Cat"
