Martin One of his brothers Presley C. Martin lived in Ashland, NB Presley C. Martin I think I have a Richard Martin? I am responding to both Max and Bill. Probably it is just coincidence, but I have teh rev. John A. Martin, b. 1809 in England, and daughter Mary Laura Martin m. Thomas C. Clark. All are buried in the Ashalnd, NE cemetery. She was born in 1838 and died in 1883 in Ashland. An 1856 Iowa state census shows the Rev. Martin and his daughter living in Burlington, IA--no siblings for Mary are listed. It is a stretch, but could these Ashalnd Martins be somehow connected to mine? And by chance, do you know their religious affiliation? My Martin family were Methodists. Max, Where did your Day family come from? Mine were orginially from VA then to GA, some to AL and then off to TX.
