Thank you Penny!! I felt like I had such a small amount to go on. I have Daniel's son Phillip's birthdate and all of his records (including death record) state his father as being Daniel Martin. I'm not sure where my Daniel Martin was born but I know he was in Catarugus Cty, New York around the time when his children, Phillip and Sarah were born. I also wondered if maybe Delilah and Daniel divorced. I don't know how common it was back in those days. Thanks for the 'hope' you've given me. I thought knowing Phillip's birthdate, and the county it would be easier, but so far...it hasn't. Thanks Penny---I won't give up!!! Daniel Jr. married Eliza Vaughn in 1833 in Allen County Ohio, he died in 1886 in Sullivan County, Missouri. However, another branch of this same family continued on in New York. I do not have all the details, but I may know someone who may. I will forward your message to her and see if she has a clue to your Daniel, or to someone who may. Meanwhile, Daniel Srs cousin Rev. Eli W.Martin was recorded as living in Hinsdale , Cattaraugus County in 1825, 1827,1830. He died in Bath, Steuben county July 7 1850.
