She married Samuel Gilmore ca 1840-1845, probably in Anson, Moore or Chatham Co, NC. This family was listed in the 1850 census of Moore Co., NC, and the 1860 census of Anson Co., NC. Patsey Gilmore, presumably Samuel's mother, was living with the family in both censuses. Samuel Gilmore was killed in action on August 21, 1864 near Charles Town, WV, while serving with Co I, 43rd Inf Regt, NC Troops, CSA. His widow, Margaret E. He died Sep 24, 1916 in Anson Co., NC. According to his death certificate, his father was Green Gilmore, born in NC.
