I am looking for information on the MARTIN family who were living in Tasmania, (Australia) in the 1850s and 1860s. William Henry MARTIN married Johanna (or Julia) HOGAN in 1858, in Hobart. William's parents were William MARTIN and Sarah CHAPMAN. William and Johanna had 6 children, possibly some in Victoria , one of whom was Henry William MARTIN who married Lizzie (Eliza) NOLAN. Their children were: - Gertrude Mary MARTIN, born 1893, Henry Aloysius MARTIN b1896 married Anne, Eileen MARTIN b1891 married ?? MORONEY, Bessie MARTIN 1900-1986, married Percy KENNEWELL. Family stories or gossip says there may have been another child - Daisy, who was born and died in 1902. The other children of William and Johanna were: Timothy, Nellie, Mary, Sarah Ann, Elizabeth.
