    3. Hi Bill, We have a Henry Martin b. 1850, my grandfather, that was raised in Iowa, m. Rosa Thompson d. of William Thompson that moved from Iowa to Nebraska. Rosa and Henry were divorced maybe 1890-1900 but they had a couple of sons, Joe and Earl. I think that Earl was killed by a gun going off in a wagon and was buried around North Platte while the family was moving to Nebraska. Henry at one time had a lot of wheat fields under cultivation in Nebraska. I think that Joe Martin probably stayed in Nebraska and quite possibly in the North Platte area. There was also a William Dawson, that was Henry Martin's brother in law from his second marriage to Ida May Dawson, who was a photographer in Broken Bow Nebr. I have no real information on birth of Joe Martin except that birth would have been some time after 1880(census for Henry & Rosa in Iowa). If I find out more, I will try to get back to you. I only know of one son, Henry Fred, born July 1, 1838 in Germany. Henry married Katharina Elizabeth MICHEL January 14, 1863 in Huron Co, OH. Katharina was born in Frieburg, Germany, December 6, 1843. I am also looking for information on her family. All I know is that she came with her mother Agatha SERGRIST/MICHEL in 1862 and settled in Cleveland, OH. Agatha was married to Alois Herman MICHEL. Hope someone else is working on this family, too. Virginia

Married Joseph Ford Lozo, 15 Jan 1879 in Wyoming or Luzerne Co., PA. She was the daughter of: Gabriel Martin, b. ca. 1829, Schuylkill or Luzerne Co., PA; m. Sarah Ann Walton ca. 1860 in Wyoming or Luzerne Co., PA. Gabriel d. 1912 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. His children were Lydia (above), Josiah, Jennie, Elizabeth Wilsey, Addie Reigle, Morilla and Aminda. He was the son of: David Martin, b. 9 Sep 1802 in what is now Schuylkill Co. Died 20 Apr 1884 in Glenwood, Pope, MN. In 1850 census David was living in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., PA and was a miller. His wife was Catherine ___. His children were Catherine Klingler, Gabriel (above), Christine Moyer (Mayer?), George, Sarah, Hannah Frank, and Josiah. I think Schuylkill Co. was created after 1802, so he probably was technically born in Northampton Co., PA. Thanks, Evan R. Thompson E.T.
