    3. Pam and Goodsonl959.....I have the following John Martin, born in Georgia in l820. He was also known as Jackson Martin and Jack Martin. He was in Alabama by about l840 and married Mary Elizabeth Sanford (Sanford not proven). We think John or Jackson Martin died in Alabama about l860. The widow, Mary Elizabeth was in Freestone Co Texas by l865 with the eight children. He left children named John Sanford Martin, Joseph Jackson Martin and others all born in the l840-l850 period. Does there appear to be any connection. John, Merced, Calif.

    3. Dear Martin Cousins, I need some help. This is one of my brickwalls. My James Samuel Strickland b. 1832 Teneha Texas married Eliza E. Mayberry. The family and her daughter's death certificate says her name was Liza Martin. Also the family had her listed as Molly Susan Martin. Does "anyone" have a listing of a Mayberry family marrying a Martin or a Mayberry family as neighbors or migrated with the Martins. I do know that Luther D. Martin was originally from the Carolinas. They were in Mississippi and Union County Arkansas. They moved to Freestone Texas prior to 1860. Any lead small or large would be wonderful.
