    3. Thank you The information I have is from a 3ed Couison By the Name of Edward R.Newman From Houston, TX. I will Try and Transcribe what he sent me that he explained that he had compiled this information from many Family Members over About a 4 year period. ======================== To begin : James Almond was Born : in North Carolina, 29/April/1797 --Married : TN.14/Dec./ 1819 Died : Jan.1857, Ar.Co,AR. Spouse: Jane W.Martin was Born : 11/June/1799 ---in : TN Died : Dec, 1887 --- in Ar.Co. AR. ============================ James Father Died when he was a young boy and the entire family moved west around 1814 He Met and Married Jane and Raised 9 Sons in Franklin County, from there thay Migated to Lowndes County, MS. untill the late 1840's from there thay migrated to Arkansas County, Arkansas were the Family settled and Started there Own Familys . ================================ Now Edward Newman thinks that Jane may have had Relitaves in MS. and I think that may be true as I have found a family that has a female married to a James Ussary and a Almond Mentioned in a Will of sead USSARY in North Carolina the family moved to GA. but I have not Nailed down any hard proof. if any other information is needed ,I might have I will send it to you if it is nessary. Thank you E.Marvin Almond Jr. Almond -1796 to Present -NC.>TN.>MS.>AR.>CA. Bradley / Bull -1787 to1963 -NY.>MI.>MO.>AR. Martin -1799 to 1857.-TN.>AR. Sibley -1728 to 1968. AR. Barbee -1863 to 1896. 3. I am responding to both Max and Bill. Probably it is just coincidence, but I have teh rev. John A. Martin, b. 1809 in England, and daughter Mary Laura Martin m. Thomas C. Clark. All are buried in the Ashalnd, NE cemetery. She was born in 1838 and died in 1883 in Ashland. An 1856 Iowa state census shows the Rev. Martin and his daughter living in Burlington, IA--no siblings for Mary are listed. It is a stretch, but could these Ashalnd Martins be somehow connected to mine? And by chance, do you know their religious affiliation? My Martin family were Methodists. 2. Teresa...what county in Texas did your Martins settle in? I have Martins in Freestone County.....several other Martin families settled there...relationship unknown. They seem to have come from Alabama in late l850s to mid l860s. John K.
