    3. Our family bible said Grainger Co but Knox Co has been mentioned too and I have been in touch with the Nicholas Gibbs Martin Historical Society in Corryton, TN (Knox) but researchers have said "it is said he was lost on the plains in the Gold rush in 1849" which is absolutely wrong as I told you before he and family are shown in IN from 1840 to 1880 and his grave beside his wife is in Lawrence Co, IN, His parents we think are Jesse and Silphenia Gibbs Martin m in or near Grainger or Knox Co. Have not found where they were buried. Possibly Mo. as their son and wife supposedly moved there. That son was John (L. pos Luther) Martin who also had a son named Nicholas G. Martin. Confusing huh? Most of our info came from family bibleowned by Nicholas' son Jesse and Nancy Obedience Martin. I also have photo made from tintype, of Nicholas and Rebecca, handed down through our family. Have more info on his children etc. Thanks very much for your reply. 1. [MARTIN-L] More information!!
    2. W. A. and Brenda Kilpatrick
    3. Hi, I'm looking for information on my Martin family line. I know my Grandfathers name is James Harry Martin, b Jan 6, 1886 d Mar 3, 1945. He was married to Martha Mae Fields, b Feb 24, 1901 d June 5, 1978. They are both buried in the Newkirk Oklahoma cemetary. I was told that James Harry Martin and also his wife Martha Mae were both from sets of twins. I can go back to the Fields side for the twin and other information but I am at a stand still for information on the Martin side. Information that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. I've heard the Martins are a very complicated family line to track. Thank you, Brenda

    3. I also sent an e-mail to Ancestry Tech support and it was returned as undeliverable. I was on it yesterday evening, but have not been able to get on since. This is a bummer for those of us who are subscribers to the Ancestry web site and can't even use it. I am not an AOL user, either. I thought it was just me, I even wrote to ancestry.com asking about the problem & they wrote back saying that all AOL users are having trouble accessing the site & to contact AOL. I talked with AOL Service & they assured me that the difficulty was with ancestry not AOL. I went so far as to write back to ancestry to let them know this & know the email's that I send to them keep coming back saying that their mail box if full! Anyway thank you for letting me know, I appreciate it.

    1. [MARTIN-L] Unrelated Genealogy Question?
    2. Has anyone tried lately to access Ancestry.com? I have been trying to get on the site for three day's now & keep getting that "Can't Find Web Site." I can get to other site's. I'm sorry that this has nothing to do with the Martin Family. I do descend from the Martin's, John Martin from New Kent Co., VA on down to Zachariah Taylor Martin his son John Albert Martin, his son Delmar Lee Martin (my granddad). Karen

    3. for what it's worth I've been on Ancestry all weekend and accessing all of their databases - so it's probably localized to certain servers. Anyway, I've seen on several other lists that it's been fixed but takes a couple days to propagate the global correction -----Original Message----- From: reneekerr [mailto:reneekerr@email.msn.com] Sent: Sunday, September 02, 2001 10:33 AM To: MARTIN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MARTIN-L] Unrelated Genealogy Question?
