Looking for date/place of death for Cora (MARTIN) EDWARDS and her husband Richard. They were living in Charlotte, Eaton Co., MI in 1920; Cora was living in Dimondale, MI, in 1942 when she filled out a Civil Defense card - it indicates she was 'married', not a widow - neither she nor her husband appear on the SSDI. Unknown if they had any children. Cora was the daughter of Hiram MARTIN and Sarah (CRAUN) MARTIN, b. abt. 1874 in Charlotte, Eaton Co., MI. Hope someone recognizes this couple! Thank you! Mattie can also be a nickname for Matilda. And, oddly enough, a common nickname for Martha in the early 1800s was Patsy. I would like to know why the M names so often had P nicknames (Martha>Patsy, Mary>Polly, Margaret>Peggy). Beverly P.S. What if it was actually Maddie, for Madeline or the like? The worm utilises a known Microsoft Outlook Express security hole so that a viral file is created on the system without your having to run any attachment. Simply reading the received email message causes the virus to be placed on the system. Microsoft has patched this security hole. Peggy has become a name like so many other nicknames, but at one time it was a nickname for Margaret. Milly, Molly, Polly are nicknames for Mary, and don't ask me how. Sukey is a nickname for Susan or Susanne. Nettie is a nickname for Virginia; Maggie and Margie have also been nicknames for Margaret but they too have become popular names. I didn't open this email - but I recognized the alteration to the name, and that's all I could read of it on my new mail list. I hope they see the notice so they can take care of it. I know they're not "sending it out". No blame intended!!!
