I am looking for information about Elma Jane from Beaver or Allegheny PA who married Adolph Lauffer before 1920. In 1940 the family is living in Los Angeles CA. Charles Martin of New Brighton lists her as a daughter in his obituary and the CA death records list her mother's maiden name as Taylor. Any information about this women would be appreciated. This my brick wall....I do not know his parents nor any siblings.... >From his widow's pension application in 1871 in Lincoln Co, TN we find that he married Patience Russell 27 Sep 1810 in Franklin Co, GA. He served in SC Militia in 1814 with Gen. Andrew Jackson's forces at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in Alabama.....hence the widow's pension application.
