    1. [MARTIN-L] Re: James Martin; Thomas J. Martin; Illinois
    2. I am seeking information about James Martin (b. abt. 1815) who was married first to Amelia Terry (Ferry) in Coles County, IL in 1839. They had two children, Miles Franklin Martin (1840) and Thomas J. Martin (1843). Amelia died at a very young age in 1845. I have informaton about Miles Franklin Martin, however, I have nothing about Thomas J. Martin. I am interested in hearing from anyone who knows about Thomas J. Martin. As a sidenote, James Martin later remarried Lurany Robison. Census records show James, Miles, Thomas, Amelia, Lurany Martin families as residing in Illinois in the Coles, Moultrie, Shelby county area. Jan Lowe Minneapolis

    3. I've noticed from ALDALE-L messages that the name "Sherrod" appears in Martin families there. You might want to do a search of the archives of that list to find messages where "Sherrod" Martin, or just "Sherrod" appears. John Landis wrote: > William Sherrod Martin Born March 29, 1878.
