    3. Thanks William for the reply. There were several Jackson Martins in al. One was Benjamin G. Martins son Jackson Martin in Montgomery co. There was one in Barbour co., Pike co., Coosa co. and Geneva co. and probably more. If you ever run across a Sylvester Martin in Ga. and N. C. let me know please. Lee at one time was part of Phillips County and as for the Greenwood MS suggestion, to this day, a lot of people go there to get married. Unless thinks have changed, Greenwood doesn't have a waiting period and isn't that far from Pontotoc, MS.     3. My Maria Martin was born Maria Chapman born in Oct 1846 in Pa then lived in Tenn before the family moved to Mn. Here she married George Martin in Blue Earth Mn in 1866 and they had 2 daughters. One borned Oct 1, 1871 in Sterling township Blue Earth ct Mn This dau was borned Alma but was buried under the name Elva. The other dau was Dora and died before 1937. I know alittle about Elva family but can not find a tracy on Maria and George. According to Maria parents obits Maria died in Texas between 1900 and 1905. I don't believe we have a connection now but if you ever run accross my Maria will you please keep me in mind and I will do the same for you Have a good day.
