    3. this is from about a 200 year span Lydia (1772) Lamborn's sister Sarah and/or Susannah Lamborn m. John (1725) Marshall s/o Thomas Marshall & Hannah Mendenhall she has brother Moses Mendenhall and they have a son Moses Marshall b~1725 who is probably this Moses 1768 father. He probably m. a "Native woman" Thomas' brother John Marshall m. Joanna Paschall Pashcall Paschall mixes into Native American Cherokee Deer Clan Moses Marshall sister Ann m. Francis Hickman and his mother Ann Buffington's family is mixed into Cherokee and others Buffington and Marshall mixes alot. Paschall also marries into Hoopes and into other Marshall's off of the first John above, son of Thomas They are all mixed into the Harlan's who mixed with Cherokees and others some say this Moses is "from Germany" however this was a common statement made when someone was mixed and did not want to get shipped out west when the GOV moved people who were mixed. I have this in my own tree in the 1800's when the man is clearly born here and his family here for 150 years. Yet is says "from Germany" in my own tree on a census There are lots of "loose end" people out there that are probably mixed and were made to leave the area they lived. Look all around at who the people married into and who those families married and you will peobably find more Native American's There is a mystery "Trader Marshall" just to name one. Have not found one connection with any of these to CJ John. CJ John has a very small family. There are mistake in some books and outright fraud in some books if you look it up, some guy mae a bunch of fake pedigrees in the 1800's Everything needs rechecked I have lots of loose Gillingham Gilliam in my database. If the picture can be scanned I can make a page for this George and post it. All of the Roger Marshall I have found and in my DB are older than 1800's one is Capt. Roger Marshall had lived in Northampton County http://books.google.com/books?id=NgNRi9Q1eb0C&pg=PA416 he probably had children and no one know who they are Joe Marshall Sequoyah -- "Tell Them They Lie" Rothschild Brothers of London, 1863. "Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws" — Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild "those who would sacrifice liberty for security....deserve neither" Benjamin Franklin "I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." --Thomas Jefferson new TNG site http://chipster.us/1111tng/ http://familytrees.genopro.com/beltster/Marshall/default.htm -----Original Message----- From: highpockets34 <highpockets34@cox.net> To: marshall-pa@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, Dec 1, 2009 11:06 am Subject: Re: [MARSHALL-PA] MARSHALL Family Photograph Maybe we can get a Marshall search group going here. 3. Shelly: Thanks for taking the time to look for a home for George's photo. I once got an E-mail from a lady that had found a photo in Kansas and had taken it to Texas with her and took the trouble of researching the name on the back, It turned out to be my Grandfather's sister. I do genealogy work on the Gillingham and Marshall families. Gillingham men married Marshall girls and vise versa so the families are intertwined. Sometimes I wonder if I'm more Marshall than Gillingham. I looked at George Marshall's family info you provided and at this time I don't see a connection to my family. If you don't find a home for the photo I would happily keep with my other Marshall Genealogy info. 1. [MARSHALL-PA] John J. Marshall
    2. Paul Marshall
    3. I am searching for information on the father of John J. Marshall born in 1880 in Philadelphia. His mother is Lena Marshall (1859-?). Shortly after his birth the family moved to Burlington County, NJ. John was given his mother's maiden name and we have no record of his father's name other than a family tradition that it may have been Dugan or Duggan. Any help on John would be appreciated.

    1. [ADMIN] Caretaker - possibly List Owner - needed for this List.
    2. Vic Brocklehurst
    3. Hi Listers: Several months ago List Owner Diane asked that I caretake this List for her for an agreed period. This is the normal procedure when a List Owner (or Administrator if you prefer) is going to be off-line for more than a few days. Usually everything runs smoothly, and the List Owner returns as planned. In the meantime the Caretaker, having the List password, attends to any subscription or other problems on the List. Unfortunately Diana hasn't returned and attempts to contact her at her last known address have been unsuccessful. The time has now come to make fresh arrangements for administration of this List:. As a "stranger" I'm unable to do anything for the List beyond the "mechanics". I can't promote the List topic, or answer any queries! Is there anyone on the List who would be willing to Caretake on the understanding that if Diane does return she has prior claim to the List? If Diane does not return then you will probably inherit the List by default. No pay of course - it's all voluntary "work" done out of love for the hobby! If someone volunteers who hadn't managed a List before there's plenty of help available from Rootsweb, or I'll help if need be. Interested? Contact me at vb@kuchena.co.uk and be sure to put the name of the List in the subject. Diane had a lot of List's that I'm still caretaking and am now seeking to hand over! Vic List Caretaker. .

    3. Does anyone have a telephone number or a better e-mail address than diane@sowden8945.freeserve.co.uk for List Owner Diane Sowden? Mail sent to the address she was using in January is returned marked "Over quota". Please reply to me direct, not via the List. Vic List Caretaker.

    1. LUCKENBACH Family Photograph with connection to MARSHALL Family of PA
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Alfred LUCKENBACH which was taken at the Scannell Studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Alfred likely about 5 years old at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I believe that this may be a photograph of Alfred M. C. LUCKENBACH b. 6 Jan 1892 to parents G. Harvey & Nellie LUCKENBACH. I was able to find Alfred in the 1910 census, though it appears that his Mother was remarried by that time. Records indicate the following: Thomas H. HUGHES, age 39, married 10 years, born PA, parents born PA, a Highway Bricklayer Ellie M. HUGHES, wife, age 39, 2nd marriage 10 years, 4 children/4 living, born PA, parents born PA Alfred M. LUCKENBACH, step-son, age 19, born PA, parents born PA, a Railroad Engine Inspector Dora L. LUCKENBACH, step-dau, age 14, born PA, parents born PA, a Laundress Margaret M. HUGHES, dau, age 8, born PA Thomas M. HUGHES, son, age 7, born PA Margaret R. MARSHALL, Mother-in-law, age 69, a widow, 12 children/4 living, born PA, parents born PA Walter E. SMITH, boarder, age 25, born PA, parents born PA, a Street Railway Conductor Minnie H. BROSISCH, boarder, age 19, born PA, parents born Germany, a Laundress In 1920 I find Alfred M. LUCKENBACH married and living in Philadelphia with census records providing the following information: Alfred M. LUCKENBACH, age 28, born PA, parents born PA, a Railroad Inspector Frances LUCKENBACH, wife, age 26, born PA, parents born Germany I'm hoping to locate someone from Alfred's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    1. Elizabeth Marshall James

    2. I have a transcript of bible records from 1842-1960. The original owners were Moses Humphrey Marshall (b. 1842) and Alice Clara Jefferis (m. 18??) who lived in Chester Co. Pennsylvania. There are 30-40 entries. Other surnames are Burrough, Myers, Chase, Green, and Haines. I will be glad to share more details.
