I suggest you start with getting birth and death certificates for you father and grandfather, then marriage applications and certificates, then obituaries from the newspapers. Birth certificates list parents names as do most marriage applications. Obituaries are not always correct, are usually mostly correct. After getting those pieces of paper, I'd look at censuses. Remember that local historical societies have helpful members and information. Be careful of what you find online. Always find the info to prove what you find online because that stuff can contain errors. Enjoy the chase!
