I think this may be your Joseph Marshall in the 1850 Hardin Co. TN census. Looks like the family moved around a bit. I checked my NC Marshall line for the elder Brice b. about 1795 but did not find anyone with that name. Maybe someone else on the list can identify him in another NC line.
