I am looking for information on a John and Martha Marshall who were in Comal County, Texas in 1868 and in Caldwell County, Texas by 1872. Their son W. P. (William Perry) was born in Comal County, Texas near New Braunfels in 1868. Their daughter Mattie Lou was born in Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas in 1872. I also know that they had a son James (Jim). Martha may be John's second wife as the story in the family states that William's mom died and he did not like his step mom and ran away from home at 14. Martha married J. A. Sergeant 11/18/1875 in Gonzales County, Texas so I am assuming that John died because in 1880 John and Martha Marshall Sergeant and both family's of children are living with them. Mattie Lou Marshall married her step brother Jasper Sargent in 1888. William married Lena Holly 1898 in Graham, Young, Tx. I am William's gggrand daughter.
