I am looking for the Marshall family, how and when they came to America, where they settled. Interested in the Pennsylvania settlers. Nan, Joan and others on this list who may relate. My 5G grandfather Dietrich Marschal (Marshall) arrived in 1736 at the port of Philadelphia, aboard the Princess Augusta. His son, my 4G grandfather was born on the boat on the trip over from the Palatinate portion of Europe. They settled in Berks County near Reading, PA where other offspring were born. Some stayed in that area, some settled in nearby Lebanon, County and my branch moved on to Logan County, Ohio around 1830 and in the late 1800s to Defiance, County, OH and thence on to Lucas County Ohio. Others went on to Kansas and elsewhere.
