There was a John Marshall in St. Augustine. He came from Scotland. I think he had children. 1783 Spanish Census of East Florida: MARSHALL, John Scotland Captain of the married Wishes to leave for Bark "Black with wife British Dominions; Fish" he owns a house and property in which he lives. My grandmother's great-grandfather William M. SCARBOROUGH had the middle name MARSHALL, and was there a connection to the SCARBOROUGHS. Also I had a fifthgranduncle MARSHALL COVINGTON. What is the connection with this family. Le
