I hope this helps someone out. Date: 1879-01-04; Paper: The Wheeling Register Died, at the house of Mr. John L. Terrill, in Boone county, Ky., November 28, 1878, Mrs. Sarah Marshall, in the 68th year of her age. Mrs. M was the daughter of Col. Samuel McClure, of Ohio county, W. Va. She was born in Wheeling, but had lived for many years on the old homestead, the Cherry Hill farm. After the marriage of her grand-daughter, Mary McClure Marshall, whom she had raised from infancy to Mr. Terrill, she had removed to their home in Kentucky, where she died. Her last sickness was but for an hour, but a life of good deeds made death a welcome visitor. She was a kind friend, a consistent member of the West Liberty Presbyterian Church, but her deeds of love and kindness were not limited by kindred or sect. Her kindness was exercised without partiality or display. She seemed happiest when serving others. She fed the hungry, cared for the orphan, clothed the naked and visited the sick. Often did she bring the aged and infirm to her own house that she might ! the better minister to their increasing wants and smooth their dying pillow. Write on her tombstone, "A useful life, a peaceful death, a happy eternity." Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
