Seeking information on the family of Elizabeth Marshall of Hamilton County, Ohio. She was the 2nd wife of my ancestor, James McClellan/d, and they jointly filed for her "dower rights" in 1821/23 which were granted by the Hamilton County, Ohio, Probate Court. Elizabeth also filed for a "widow's allowance" in 1831 upon the death of James. (This was contested by several of James' children but was granted by the same Probate Court.) The last court record shows a John Cameron appointed Elizabeth's administrator in 1834, perhaps when she died. James McClellan/d was born approx. 1760 in "Pa." and married Ann Wilson. They had 10 children and moved to the Springdale area of Hamilton Co, Ohio, before 1800. Most of their children remained in the Hamilton/Butler Co., Ohio, area.
