Dougan and Catherine Kennedy, PEI. The witnesses to William and Catherine's marriage were a James McCabe and a Mary Ann Dougan. My records indicate that Mary Ann had at least two brothers, Thomas and James. I have not been able to document whether William was a brother. I do know my great grandfather Anthony would visit a cousin A.T. McCabe in Boston, perhaps this would be Alexander Thomas McCabe. If so this would indicate that William too was a brother to Mary Ann. I do know that there is a tombstone of Anthony Dougan at St. Bonaventure-Tracadie that says "In memory of Anthony Dougan who departed this life 7 Feb 1847 Age 61, Erected by affectionate Daughter" Mary Ann Dougan.
