Antrim, Ireland who is the son of Hugh Marshall. Thomas is from his first marriage to Margaret Calwell (or perhaps Killwell) who we think died in Ireland. From this marriage there were three sons William, Thomas, John and perhaps a Daughter, Ellen. The second marriage was to Jane Montgomery and the children were - Ellen??, James, Robert, Hugh, Andrew, Montgomery (1) infant death, Eliza Jane, Margaret, Mary, Montgomery (2nd). They all emmgrated from Irelend to Australia aboard the "Elfinstone" on October 8, 1840 and were bounty Immigrants. They were all from Antrim, Ireland. Jane's parents were William and Elizabeth (nee McCoy) Montgomery. Her brother, James Montgomery and his wife Ellen and their three sons William, George and James were also aboard the "Elphinstone". Jane is buried in Bendigo Victoria, and Hugh is buried at a place called Mongarell, which is near Wallenbeen NSW. Not far from Cootamundra, New South Wales, Australia.
